My Mom, Casey and I spent the day at the Blueberry Festival on Sunday, July 22. Colleen was at her Dad's for the weekend. This is actually the 22nd anual Blueberry Festival, but it was our first. It was a great time and now I have to visit Burnside Plantation at a time when it's not so busy.
My favorite part of the day was visitng the Louise W. Dimmick Memorial Garden, a beautiful mix of flowers, herbs, fruits and vegetables. Another highlight was hearing the last few songs of a folk group called The Burns Sisters. They were so good we bought their CD and Casey had each sister sign it.
Casey just loved the Colonial Games tent where she walked on stilts and played with other toys that have been around for a few hundred years. Have a look at the slideshow.
